So, the plan was that Andy would leave April 2nd or thereabouts. I would take him to Georgia where I would hike the 8 miles up to the start of the AT with him, kiss him goodbye and head back to Virginia.
It was a good plan. But, of course, we should all know better...

So, here's the deal. There was a big snowstorm. And before the snowstorm we were together. And I'm pretty sure at least one of us was having fun. But after the snowstorm, we weren't together anymore.
Now there are, of course, a few other details I haven't shared. But I also have yet to obtain a signed release from the other party involved. As a writer hoping to one day support myself through my writing and be celebrated on Oprah, I can't release those details without the signed release. Or maybe that's just the idiot lawyer in me talking.
Anyway, it may not matter because I've recently been trying my hand at fiction and there are no releases necessary for fiction. So stay tuned for new additions to the site. You never know when you'll see a link for "The Hiker's Ex-Girlfriend"...
Here's me, post snowstorm....still alive and okay. The baggy clothes that make me resemble a potato probably won't help me much in finding a new guy, but maybe there's someone out there who's just a sucker for a smile....
